Dr. A.J. "Bud" Gerathy Jr.

Fellow, Academy of General Dentistry

Dr. Bud Gerathy was born and raised in New Jersey. In 1979, he was commissioned an Officer in the U.S. Air Force and served as a military Dentist until 1988, completing his tour of active duty while stationed at Peterson AFB, Colorado.

In 1988, he launched a private dental practice in downtown Monument, Colorado, and has watched it and the community grow. He also maintained his military connections by serving in the Air Force Reserves until retiring in 2003.

In 1986, Bud completed a Masters program in Sports Medicine with an innovative research paper on the relation of TMJ disorders to sports performance. From 1988 to 1992, he was a volunteer dentist at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

In his spare time, Dr. Gerathy loves skiing and climbing Colorado’s "14’ers". He is also an avid road cyclist, runner and photographer. His wife, Sandy Hess, is an internationally renowned figure skating coach.

Suzi

Hygienist

Suzi has been involved with dentistry since 1983, first as a Dental Assistant and then by obtaining her hygiene degree in 2002.

She has been with our practice since 2004. She enjoys swimming, hiking, camping and other outdoor activities with her husband and two sons.

Darcie

Dental Assistant

Darcie has worked as a Dental Assistant since 1991. She obtained her EDDA certification in 2005. She has been associated with our practice for over a decade.

She also fills in as a receptionist from time-to-time. She enjoys reading, playing sports and spending time with her husband, three children and extended family.

Cari

Hygienist

Cari received her dental hygiene degree in 1988 and brought her years of experience to  our office in November of 2007.

She enjoys skiing and dirt bike riding with her husband and two sons.

Susan

Business Assistant/Receptionist

Susan joined our staff in February of 2009 and has worked in the dental field for 17 years. She is always happy to answer your insurance and billing questions.

Outside the office, Susan enjoys reading, camping, gardening and spending time with her husband and two girls.
